He presented performance comparison data where CO2 transcritical as well as cascade solutions with ammonia and propane would always outperform an R404A-CO2 cascade solution, depending on the climate. Referring to the high ambient temperatures in Arab countries Funder-Kristensen pointed to the significant development in the CO2 refrigeration area that has taken place over the last 10 years but which would still leave “a lot of room for innovation”.
